Gas Transport & Storage Summit 2009

Организатор: WTG Energy
Место проведения: Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I, Barcelona, Spain
Tackling gas prices — developing a successful gas and storage infrastructure
Join us at the Gas Transport and Storage Summit 2009 to discuss the most important issues faced by today’s gas industry as well as providing unrivalled networking opportunities.
Gas transportation and storage has never been a more important topic. With gas prices soaring and suddenly dropping at record levels combined with high fluctuation in a demand for natural gas in Europe and beyond, reliance on gas from outside Europe is higher than ever. It is now a vital challenge for all gas companies that they ensure the security of supply as well as that their storage and transportation networks are in place to maintain continuity of supply at reasonable prices.
The GTS 2009 summit and networking event will bring together the leading gas experts to discuss the most important issues faced by today’s gas industry.
Furthermore, the event provides the perfect platform for networking and building powerful strategic alliances with your industry peers.
Why attend?
* Learn from the cutting-edge case studies such as Castor or Etzel storage projects
* Network with your peers through our pre-arranged one-to-one meetings system to develop new ideas and partnerships through a new pipeline of unique contacts for your transport and storage projects
* Discover the latest market developments and issues affecting the gas transport and storage industry
* Maximise your profitability by developing adequate gas storage facilities
Respond to problems before they happen and keep the gas flowing.

Underground gas storage in the UK: The Costain experience
There are as many as 18 Underground Gas Storage Projects going through various stages of planning in the UK at the moment and this reflects that strategic investment is needed quickly to become equivalent with its’ European neighbours, France and Germany. In recent time the UK did not need to supplement the indigenous North Sea gas supply and only had a handful of small LNG peak shaving plants, but with a forecast that 80% of the UK gas consumption by 2020 will be imported, activity is increasing markedly.
